Public Lecture on Poverty Alleviation Strategies Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045

On December 9, 2024, the Head of BPS Surabaya City became a resource person in a Public Lecture organized by the National Development University (UPN) Veteran Surabaya with the theme Poverty Alleviation Strategy Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045. The public lecture which was attended by around 200 students also presented another resource person, namely the Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

In this activity, the Head of BPS Surabaya City explained the concepts, poverty measurement and data sources carried out by BPS in calculating macro poverty. In addition, it was also explained how the role of students in supporting poverty alleviation.

Hopefully through this activity it can have an impact on increasing students' understanding of the data in BPS.
