In July 2026, Surabaya experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.22 percent. However, cumulatively, year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation was recorded at 1.95 percent, while year-on-year inflation reached 3.45 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.43. By expenditure group, the Transportation Group was the main contributor to year-on-year inflation, contributing 1.20 percent, indicating the significant contribution of the transportation component to price increases compared to the same period the previous year.

Meanwhile, the performance of the hotel sector also showed improvement. In June 2026, the Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star-rated hotels in Surabaya reached 57.54 percent, an increase of 3.43 points compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, the RPK for non-star-rated hotels was recorded at 33.94 percent, an increase of 1.40 points. This increase reflects the continued growth of tourism and accommodation activities in Surabaya.

Through price indicators and the hotel sector, we can see how economic dynamics evolve over time. Statistical data provides a crucial basis for supporting more targeted planning, decision-making, and development policy formulation.
