Abstract

In July 2016 Jawa Timur experienced inflation of 0.76 percent. Of the eight cities of the CPI in Jawa Timur, all citiesexperiencing inflation. The highest inflation was in Madiun by 0.85 percent, followed by 0.83 percent Surabaya, Kota Kediri and Malang each by 0.78 percent, Sumenep and Kota Probolinggo respectively by 0.63 percent, the District Banyuwangi 0.43 percent, the lowest inflation was in Jember of 0.42 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, underwent inflation. Expenditure groups with the highest inflation is foodstuffs at 1.48 percent, followed by food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.89 percent, clothing and transport groups,communications, and financial services respectively 0, 80 percent, health and education, recreation and sport respectively by 0.43 percent, and inflation was lowest in the group housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.24 percent.
