East Java Economy Quarter I-2020 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic
Product (GRDP) at current prices reaches IDR 585.55 trillion, while
GRDP at constant prices reaches IDR 408.69 trillion.
• East
Java Economy Quarter I-2020 when compared to Quarter I-2019 (y-on-y)
grew by 3.04 percent, slowing compared to the same period the previous
year by 5.55 percent. From the production side, the highest growth
occurred in the Information and Communication Business Field at 9.77
percent,
followed by Health Services and Social Activities by 9.12 percent and
Education Services by 6.07 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest
growth in the Foreign Export Component was 5.15 percent, followed by
Government Consumption Expenses by 5.11 percent, and Household
Consumption Expenses by 4.47 percent.
• In q-to-q East Java
economy, the first quarter of 2020 contracted 2.20 percent. In terms of
production, the highest growth occurred in the Agriculture, Forestry and
Fisheries Business Fields at 6.28 percent, followed by Health Services
and Social Activities at 2.74 percent and Information and Communication
at 1.28 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth in the
Foreign Export Component was 11.17 percent, followed by LNPRT
Consumption Expenditures at 1.86 percent, and Household Consumption
Expenses contracted by 0.10 percent.
