Abstract

In April 2021, Surabaya municipality experienced inflation of 0.09 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.64. When compared, East Java experienced a higher inflation of 0.10 percent and at the national level it was higher by 0.13 percent. Of the 8 CPI cities in East Java, all recorded experiencing inflation or rising prices. Sumenep Regency experienced the highest inflation at 0.53 percent, and the lowest was Banyuwangi Regency at 0.02 percent, while Surabaya and Probolinggo Municipality experienced the fourth highest inflation.
