Abstract

• Gender development in the City of Surabaya in 2020 experienced a slight decrease compared to 2019. In 2019 the GPA of the City of Surabaya reached 93.60 in 2020 fell to 93.58 or decreased 0.02 percent.

• The city of Surabaya is recorded to have a very high HDI category, which is in the HDI range of 80. This achievement brings the city of Surabaya to the first rank in East Java. In 2020, the HDI of the male population of Surabaya City reached 85.32, which was higher than the female population, which was 79.84.
