Abstract

In June 2021, Surabaya experienced deflation of 0.17 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.81. In comparison, East Java experienced a lower deflation of 0.14 percent and slightly lower at the national level of 0.16 percent. Of the 8 CPI cities in East Java, almost all of them experienced deflation or price declines, except Malang City, which experienced inflation of 0.08 percent. Sumenep Regency experienced the highest deflation of 0.58 percent, and the lowest was Kediri City and Jember Regency which had the same value of 0.10 percent, while the City of Surabaya and Probolinggo City experienced the second lowest deflation.
