Achievement Meeting of Human Development Index & Education Index of Surabaya in 2024

On December 11, 2024, Bappedalitbang invited BPS Surabaya City to be able to provide an overview of the HDI and condition of the Surabaya City Education Index in 2024.

Head of BPS Surabaya City, Dr. Arrief Chandra Setiawa, S.ST, M.Si in his presentation said that the City of Surabaya was able to increase HDI up to 84.69 percent, this value is the highest HDI value in East Java.

This achievement does not escape the support of stakeholders, OPDs, and the community who are able to implement government programs.

BPS is present as a friend in regional planning, a provider of various data, an evaluator of regional policies, as well as a coach of sectoral statistics for the Surabaya city government.
