Abstract

In September 2021, Surabaya experienced deflation of 0.13 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.27. When compared, East Java experienced a lower deflation of 0.11 percent and at the national level it was also lower at 0.04 percent. Of the 8 CPI cities in East Java, all experienced deflation. It was noted that Banyuwangi Regency experienced the highest deflation of 0.16 percent, and the City of Surabaya itself experienced the third highest deflation, while Malang City experienced the lowest deflation of 0.02 percent.
