Surabaya Mayor Optimistic National Survey Results will Assist City Government Policies

In an event at Surabaya City Hall, Surabaya Mayor, Eri Cahyadi, ST, MT, expressed optimism about the positive impact of the ongoing National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) and National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) this February. In his speech, the Mayor conveyed hopes that both surveys would provide an accurate picture of poverty and unemployment levels in the city.

He emphasized the importance of surveyors conducting in-depth interviews with respondents to ensure the data produced reflects the real conditions on the ground. This was seen as a crucial step to ensure that the data provided by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) could serve as effective guidelines for the city government in designing more targeted policies.

Thus, it is hoped that the data obtained from these surveys will be a valuable source of information for the Surabaya city government in their efforts to improve welfare and address socio-economic conditions in the community.
